Pet Boarding - Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose Pampered Pet Resorts?

We are 100% committed to providing the same level of health, welfare, pampering and protection for your fur baby as if they never left home. We are staffed 24/7/365 to ensure we completely live up to this promise, but also to give you the most pick-up and drop-off flexibility. Our entire staff is Pet CPR Certified and we continue to grow our qualifications to make your time away as carefree as possible. We also offer 24/7 camera access to our entire facility so you can check on your pooch anytime while they enjoy their Naples dog vacation. There are many other reasons as well, including the big smile on your dog’s face when you pick him or her up!

What level of training does your staff have?

Our entire staff is Pet CPR Certified and first aid qualified. In addition, each of our managers has extensive industry experience and is trained to specific PPR protocols and standards. Each pack member goes through a one-month training program specific to PPR procedures and requirements. Training then continues for all of us, as all managers and pack members participate and are tested in our continuing education program to ensure that we provide the best Naples overnight dog boarding services.

Are you prepared in case of an emergency or natural disaster?

As prepared as it gets! We have a permanent, natural-gas-fired emergency generator on site. It is integrated into our electrical system and has the capability to fully power ALL aspects of our operations in the event of a power outage or natural disaster. We test our generator every Friday afternoon to ensure proper operation. In addition, our owner and management are FEMA Certified to make sure your pup has a safe Naples dog vacation.

When can I drop off and pick up my dog?

Whenever you would like! We are open 24/7/365 to give you full flexibility to drop off and pick up at your convenience.

Does someone stay with the guests overnight?

PAWSITIVELY! We are staffed 24/7 to ensure the safety and security all furry friends deserve during their Naples overnight boarding.

Do you use crates?

NEVER. Every dog or dog family has its own individual suite because we believe rest time is equally as important as play time. At Pampered Pet Resorts, the blend of rest and play is as perfect as your pup’s very favorite treat!

Can you provide my dog with medication?

Yes. All we ask is that you leave medications in their pill bottles so we know the proper amount and schedule before administering. For sterile injections, bring medications in their original bottles, along with dosage information and all administration tools (needles).

Do you provide outdoor play areas?

ABSOLUTELY! We have both indoor and outdoor areas for the dogs depending on weather conditions, plus an optional splash pad. Whatever your dog loves to do, you will find it here.

What is Private Play?

We offer private walks. This could be for medical reasons, they are not neutered past 1 year old, or they simply don’t get along with other dogs. They are walked by a pack member 6x per day for up to 10 minutes each time, depending on the dog and their individual needs. *Additional service fees and limitations apply. For questions or more information please call us at 239-970-1111

Do you turn away dogs based on their breed?

NO, we do not breed discriminate. All pups are welcome to experience our Naples dog resort!

Is it safe for my smaller dog to come?

Yes. Pampered Pet Resorts is safe for all dogs, regardless of size. We not only divide playgroups by size and play style, but we also have a strict handlers to dog/s ratio. Careful, compassionate supervision is one of our specialties.

Should I bring anything for my dog’s stay?

We ask you not to bring any bedding from home that may enable cross contamination. If you bring medication, you must bring it in its pill bottle.

Should I bring my own dog food?

You do not have to as we provide food, but you are welcome to bring in your own. If you bring in your own food, it should be pre-bagged, per meal, per day, per dog or an additional charge will be incurred.

What vaccinations are required for my dog to stay at Pampered Pet Resorts?

Rabies, Bordetella (every 6 months), DHLPP and flea/tick preventative are required.

What exactly is the Adaptil product included in your Calming Suites, and is it safe?

Adaptil is a pet product that mimics Dog Appeasing Pheromones (DAP), which are released by a mother while she is nursing her pups. It provides a calming sense of security for dogs that are anxious. It is also odorless and does not affect humans or cats. It comes in a spray that can be applied directly to a pet’s bedding without causing a skin reaction, and there is no gastrointestinal upset if ingested. There is medical research to back up its safety and efficacy, whereas essential oils still have too many unknowns.

Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?

No. Please reference the Programs section for details about un-altered males.

My dog doesn't seem to eat while boarding?

This is more common than most may think. There are many reasons why a change in your pet’s appetite may occur while in a boarding facility. Any time we throw off their normal routine we are bound to see some changes in what we consider their everyday behaviors. We do what we can within their dietary restrictions to ensure we are enticing them with their food. We find that they eat when they want and it may only be a little at a time. If you are unsure how your pup will eat or you absolutely know they struggle to eat in this type of environment please advise the pack at check-in.

After boarding Appetite/Thirst:

Your pup spends a lot of time exercising and playing while boarding. In doing so they need more calories to refuel their bodies. Since many dogs tend to eat less in this atmosphere it is normal for them to play catch up when they get home. The same scenario goes for water. At Pampered Pet Resorts your pup always has its own private water dish that is monitored and changed continuously throughout the day to provide fresh drinking water.
